The Exchange Club of Folly Beach Golden Age Dinner Honors Widows and Widowers
The Exchange Club of Folly Beach celebrated Thanksgiving with our Golden Age Dinner on November 21 at the First Baptist Church with local widows and widowers of the island. There was a bounty of food, drinks, and fellowship. Flower arrangements, as well as a plate to go, were offered to each of the guests. There was ham, turkey, and all the trimmings enjoyed by all.
The Exchange Club also displayed American Flags at the boat landing to honor Veteran’s Day. Our veterans have allowed us to have our freedom and provide a safe place for us to live. Thank a veteran each and every day.
The Exchange Club Volley on Folly Pickleball Tournament was a huge success involving both young and old alike. Special thanks to Cindy Wynne of the Drew Wynne Foundation and Jeff and Heather Irvan for their help. There was also a Public Safety Pickleball Showdown match between the Police and Firefighters. The Police won this year and took home the bragging rights and a trophy!
